Internal Business Communications


When my agency was approached by Shell to develop a name and design brand for their new innovation lab with a tight deadline, we convened for a frantic brainstorm. Having worked on a previous innovation project with a former employer, the word “pipeline” came up a lot. Of course for a company that works with petrochemicals, pipelines are throughout their facilities. This was almost a no-brainer… a very effective no-brainer.



Every now and then I am tapped to write an executive communication for businesses. Most often these are goodwill or informative messages. Here is a recent example. Bear in mind, I don’t choose the font, color, or layout of the communication, so don’t hold me in contempt for the aesthete.
