In 2010 I began a project to raise funds for AIDS Walk Kansas City. I challenged potential sponsors to contribute to my goal. If that goal was reached, I would bake my way through every recipe in Martha Stewart’s Cookie Book and blog about the experience. The funds were raised and I started my stand-mixer. Over the next 5 years, I completed my mission and, in turn, raised over $30,000 for AIDS Walk Kansas City.
